To celebrated judge on Channel 4’s The Great Pottery Throwdown, which has an audience of over two million, from ballet dancer and front man in an almost famous band - how did all that happen?

In his first memoir, Boy in a China Shop, Keith reveals how he went from a North London boyhood to a global success. Growing up, Keith had a great talent for dance, in particular ballet. At school he wrestled with dyslexia until a sympathetic art teacher intervened and changed everything when he first touched clay. For years he worked long hours as a ‘clay boy’ at Harefield Pottery to learn his craft whilst also singing in a punk band, before setting up his own business.

But his big break came when Heals took a range of his hand-thrown pottery and he’s never looked back. His 70,000 followers across Instagram and Twitter are evidence of the appeal of his emotional response to pottery and art on screen.
