Join two of our best loved actors for an exclusive and intimate audience full of unmissable anecdotes.

Martin Jarvis met his wife Rosalind nearly 50 years ago when she was Ophelia to his Hamlet, and now they are ‘Jarvis & Ayres Productions’, producing, directing and acting together - leaving their home in London for forays to Hollywood to cast stars and record plays for radio including the ever-popular Just Williams.

However, their beginnings were not so auspicious, a director visiting Rosalind in her first job as an acting assistant stage manager said she had no voice and should probably take a typing course; while Martin was advised at Rada that he had more chance of making it as a photographic model than as an actor.

Now decades later with numerous film, television, theatre and radio credits between them including Ayres’s role as Gran in the BBC One semi-improvised sitcom Outnumbered and as Lady Duff-Gordon in Titanic, playing opposite her husband in film as well as in life, these embarrassing moments are in the past - though not quite, as when at a glittering champagne reception at Windsor Castle, Martin stepped backwards, laughing immoderately at a bon mot from Michael Frayn, and virtually trod on the Queen.
