The hilarious multi-award-winning reader will bring his dazzling story telling gifts to the Festival with new performances from two of the greatest comic creations in literature - Just William and Jeeves.

Recognised as one of our most versatile voice actors and globally celebrated for his bestselling audio and radio recordings of Richmal Crompton’s Just William stories and P.G.Wodehouse’s Jeeves novels, Jarvis famously plays not just the heroes of the pieces but all the other characters too, winning the Theatre World Award for his performance of Jeeves on Broadway.

His long and distinguished career has embraced stage, television and screen. His film credits range from The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and Phil Spector to Titanic while TV includes Poirot, Endeavour, EastEnders, Dr Who, as well as vintage performances in David Copperfield, Nicholas Nickleby and The Forsyte Saga.

With this much anticipated appearance, Martin Jarvis makes a triumphant return to the Boswell stage with P.G Wodehouse’s ‘Fixing it for Freddie’ and Richmal Crompton’s ‘William Holds the Stage’
