Kissing Linford Christie with Victoria Beesley

Vickie wants to compete at the Olympics. There is only one obstacle; she isn’t very good at sport. Yet despite the odds, her love for athletics takes her all the way to London 2012.

Inspired by Victoria’s own childhood obsession with athletics and Jamaican-British athlete Linford Christie, this is a story about loving failure and dreaming big – even if there’s no chance you’ll make that dream come true.

Victoria will present a reduced production of her one-woman show that toured during 2022. She’ll tell her funny, moving and relatable story of what it is to have an all-consuming passion and to worship a hero, even when that hero may fall from grace.

This is a story of aspiration, dreams and building resilience in the face of disappointment.
